CBO Director

St. Louis area healthcare organization is currently seeking a Central Business Office Director to oversee the comprehensive revenue cycle for a growing 100 + employed provider network.

The CBO Director is expected to set the leadership tone for organization.  Direct responsibilities of the CBO Director include serving as an integral member of the organization's Finance team.  Functions include organizational revenue budgeting, CBO department budgeting, establishment of A/R targets and accountability for CBO results, assistance with cash flow projections, data and financial analysis, compliance with internal controls, third party payer relationship cultivation, appropriate utilization of CBO and other organizational resources.

The CBO director will provide day to day oversight and guidance to the CBO management team who directly supervise in-house department functions including billing customer service, charge posting and verification, claims filing, payment and adjustment posting, outstanding self-pay and insurance account follow-up, and results monitoring.

Measurable expectations include development and monitoring of production standards, A/R result targets, and quality indicators for the revenue cycle. 

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (masters preferred), and at least 6 years experience in a revenue cycle management role, demonstrating competence in all facets of the physician revenue cycle.  Critical skills include expertise with third party payer relationships including Medicare and Medicaid, problem-solving, project planning, strategic decision-making, presentation and communication skills, conflict resolution and team-building.
