Director of Medicare, Finance (Naperville)

The Illinois Health and Hospital Association seeks a Director of Medicare, Finance who will lead the development of policy positions and support advocacy strategies primarily related to Medicare reimbursement and finance issues, in collaboration with the VP and other staff including Vice President Federal Government Relations. Analyze the impact of potential changes and effectively communicate IHA positions to IHA leadership, members, other interest groups and government officials. Represent IHA to outside stakeholder organizations and be a resource to members on Medicare issues.

Bachelor’s degree required. Masters preferred with at least five years of health care finance experience. Deep knowledge of Medicare policy and hospital reimbursement required, with  experience with the regulatory and legislative processes, preferred. Ability to perform statutory and regulatory research. Ability to synthesize complex, technical regulations or legislative issues and communicate to a variety of audiences. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills including ability to present with confidence and poise to outside stakeholders. Intermediate knowledge of Excel with attention to detail required. Periodic travel required.
